QUOTES & BILLING / 8 MIN READ

Send a quote, then a separate contract

Keep a reviewed quote and buyer-approved agreement ahead of invoicing.

Follow the steps

01

Build a private quote

In QuoteBin → Quotes, choose New quote. Add a buyer email, USD line items, terms, and an invoice payment period. Link a saved person, company, or opportunity where it helps the team.

02

Review and publish

Save the draft, check the buyer-facing version and seller identity, then publish a private quote link. A revised version gets its own link and preserves prior history.

03

Collect quote approval

The buyer reviews the link and confirms acceptance with a code sent to the buyer email. Quote approval does not create an invoice or take payment.

04

Prepare the agreement

Review the separate contract terms in QuoteBin → Contracts, then publish its buyer link. The buyer approves that agreement with a fresh emailed code.

05

Track the invoice

Contract approval creates the Stripe invoice. In QuoteBin → Invoices, review its delivery and payment status; do not treat an open invoice as paid.

BEFORE YOU MOVE ON

Check the result

The QuoteBin record shows the approved quote, approved contract, and its distinct invoice state.

Worth knowing

Share buyer links only with the intended recipient. The connected Stripe merchant’s public name may differ from the workspace name and should be reviewed before sending.
